Loving October. We did our annual visit to our local farm with my friend and her kids, just like last year. Then back to our house for a fire-pit and roasting smores. A perfect ending to the day. The farm has an insane amount of pumpkins which makes it difficult to pick. Too many choices. For some reason, we ended up not picking the perfect one from the pretty row of pumpkins laid out so beautifully.
Nope. We traveled way into the field to find this one:
and pulled it out of the earth and onto our wagon, because "it's more fun this way."
Below is what an $80 pumpkin looks like. The cute kid hugging it {and wishing he could take it home} is priceless.
Are you enjoying the sights and smells of Fall? Loved your responses to my serious gray (or grey) problem. I had so many emails about the lipstick color, perhaps there are some grayaholics with me? I did write in the comments but I think it's buried a bit. The color is called "Vista" by MAC. And actually a really pretty color for Fall. I'm making progress on my gray recovery, I passed over a charcoal sweater and bought the red one while away in Atlantic City last weekend. One day at a time, right? ~xo

I grew up in Bucks Country, PA. Many thanks for sharing the great photo's.

I am very new to blogging(four days) and have gone to great lengths to research "good blogs".
Thank you for "typing out loud". I am amazed the voices blogging creates.
A question circles my mind while reading not only your blog but others... is it easier to type the truth or is it that we seldom find people who listen? I plan on listening to you. Thanks.

Fall is magical ~ my favorite time of year.
Looks like you and your adorable children had a day to remember for a lifetime.
BTW, I am a gray girl, too. Infact, last week I bought a gray shawl coat, sweater and shirt. I love your clothes! That dress you bought with the rosettes is just drop dead gorgeous!
Have a great day!

love that photo of the tractor! and I agree that pumpkin your son pulled is way better than any $80 one. Great shots of a fun (and orange-no gray) day;)

I've been in denial but that shot of all the pumpkins and squashes finally got me in the mood for fall. Thanks.

Hi Tara! Thank you for sharing such wonderful photos. Living here in Florida, we have NO fall colors and the only pumpkins we find are in the grocery store produce section. It's really hard to "decorate" for fall harvest or winter when it's still in the high 80's, the air conditioner is still running and I am still in shorts! I really miss the change of seasons. Thanks for the beauty! ~ xo ~ Joy

Looks like a perfect Fall Outing kind of day. So loving your pumpkin pictures. But feeling kinda sorry for the shrively looking ones. Hopefully someone will take them home too.

The pumpkin you picked from the field looks so much better anyways. . . and what fun is it to just pick one off the table. Part of the fun is finding the perfect pumpkin in the pumpkin patch. That's the adventure :)
Blessings,
Sher

gorgeous pumpkins. Sounds like a fun time. :O)
I'm going to check out that lipstick color. And I had to laugh, because I'm usually a RED girl. But for some reason I'm on a gray kick right now. Even picked up a knit charcoal colored dress today. Ahhhh, loving gray here too. :o)

I am loving October thus far, though I wish it would get cool and stay cool. The leaves are FINALLY starting to turn colors and fall gracefully to the ground.
We're going to the pumpkin farm this weekend. I'm so excited! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for COLD temperatures.
