BlackBerry Phobia...
It arrived yesterday. Very black, but not like a berry at all. It's very intimidating. I imagine it will come in handy though. Would have been very useful in Venice instead of searching for an internet cafe to check emails. It would have been especially convenient at the airport when we saw the terror alert level raised to "High", then a bomb sniffing dog topped off with an air marshall on our plane. I would have been able to email friends and family and send a "just in case" message. I'm sure it's easy to use and is waiting for me to at least turn it on so it can show itself off to me...but where is the darn power button?

lol tara..i have one and love it, don't know what i would do without it. you will get the hang of it i'm sure!

So funny, I have one too and do you think I could find the ON button at first? I absolutely love it for emails on the fly but there is so much more that I could do with it. I really should crack out the manual and learn.... :)

I literally just changed over to one myself this past week. It took almost a week to get it set up properly but once you get over that hurdle - it is the best thing! You will love it - I also found it very easy to figure out. Just get in there and start pressing buttons LOL!

However alluring the "crackberry" e-mail and internet features may be, your new device comes with something far more dangerous and addictive: welcome to the world of brick breaker!

Yes, "crackberry" is a term we use often here in our home. I have a Palm Treo (my husbands hand-me-down) and my husband has the IPhone. You will come to LOVE your blackberry!

Hi Tara....I am so glad to see that I am not the only one who searches for the "on" button! Don't even ask me about using our DVD/VCR/Stero/HD-TV/NASA command center remote control thing-a-ma-bobs my hubby has hooked-up in our living room. Good luck with your search and keep us posted if this becomes your new BF. xo ~ Joy J.

My husband got upgraded to a Blackberry recently for work and he barely uses it. He's a network engineer so you'd think he wouldn't be one to get intimidated. :oP
I had about the same experience as Chris describes above. About a year after 911 we were on a flight that a guy was taken off of in handcuffs and then we all had to get off so the plane could be searched for a bomb! Soooo not fun! We really didn't want to get back on that same plane. I'm not much of a flyer anymore. ;o)

Oh, it looks so cute! And, yes, it is so helpful. You'll see when you'll get used to it. I can even post blog from mine with photos!
You'll love it, just let yourselves be friends!

Don't worry you'll figure it out. Must have been some experience with the plane. Glad you made it home safe and sound.

I've been toying with the idea of a Blackberry or an Iphone but haven't had the courage to take the plunge yet. Hope you get it figured out, I hear they are great.

If you figure it out, you should write a user-friendly instruction book. I can never get anywhere with my PalmPilot manual.
