Sit, Relax..Let's Catch up...

   

    So many things, so little time.  Have a seat, let's play catch up around here... . my back has been acting up, had an epidural shot last week- WHOA...don't think I will ever do that again.  I know I gave birth, twice in fact, but geez Louise, that sucker hurt...and I think it has now irritated the monster that has been living in my back even more.  I'm going to leave the restless beast alone for a while.  My doctor says the disc is so bad that I need surgery, and wants to insert 3 titanium screws, but I think I will get a 2nd, 3rd and 4th opinion!

     Wriskey™ Business is *cRaZy* and I want to thank all of you for being such great supporters!  We started a Wriskey Girl photo pool on flickr.  We thought it would be cool to see creative shots of you creative people using your Wriskey or wearing your tee's, just upload them here and they will appear on the front page of my blog, at random and everytime the page is re-freshed.  Pretty cool!  We plan to have contests/prizes (we love prizes don't we!?) for the most creative shots.  If you don't like having your photo taken, then maybe snap a shot of your baby chewing on your Wriskey, etc...(or something like that, my brain is fried right now, so I am not being too creative!).  Sweet Gail sent us a shot of her reminding hubby that Valentine's Day is soon approaching, take a peek .  Too cute!  Can't wait to see all of you Wriskey Girls!

I love your Tara TV posts! I just love your Wriskey's, I really must get me one...I know, epidurals can hurt really bad. I hate you're having back trouble. If you can find a fabulous back surgeon you will wake up from surgery feeling better even though you've been operated on! xxoo, Dawn

Ouch you reminded me of that epidural pain! I do hope your back gets better really quickly and that your 2nd 3rd and 4th opinions are more friendly and less obtrusive ideas!!!

tara, i'm so sorry to hear about your back!! you are very smart to not just take the first opinion about back surgery. my husband was told that he would need back surgery, however he had acupuncture and cold laser treatments , he had great results! something to look into before the drastic step of surgery! i wish you well, angie

I feel your pain my friend with your back. I have had back problems that sidelined me for six months a few years back. Take good care & ice & wet heat when it gets so bad you can't stand it. Maybe the epi will calm it down after a few week. you are WAY to busy for back problems! SO happy but NOT suprised the wriskey site is doing so well!!! IT's the BEST!!! xoxo tutts

Tara, so sorry about your back. My husband owns a company that manufactures and distributes the titanium screws for Stryker Spine. You need a good surgeon ( ask around and don't be afraid to travel ,if needed, for a good one). IF your doctor is really good the results will be amazing. You are so young for this problem. How did it happen? Best of luck and ask me any questions you might have about the product.

I so know your Back issues. I had back surgery about 5 years ago, have to say Im so glad I did. That Cordisone shot scared me more the Surgery. Congrats on your Wriskey launch..Jamie

I am so sorry you back is hurting you..My SIl finally had surgery with a relly well known neurosurgeon after years of pain and a pain clinic...and now she said it was the best thing she ever did and wished she had done it sooner. Maybe there is an alternative medcial thing that could help you (accupuncture??).. I still love my Wriskey, I'm glad it's doing well.

I would try EVERYTHING before I would let anyone cut on my back. This is what happened to me. I had back problems most of my life. It would come, I would lay around, it would go away. Well one time it came and didn't go away and 2 months later still lying in bed I decided I better get to the ER. NOTHING was comfortable. I could walk just fine but I was in horrific pain. Welllll when I got to the ER they rushed me in for an MRI and saw that a nerve was completely flattened and told me if I didn't get surgery right away I could be paralyzed. Well when I woke up after the surgery my right foot is paralyzed. They call it drop foot, I limp, my whole leg, foot and hip ached constantly. NEVER any relief. Muscles relaxers help. So sweetie try everything. I have heard of spinal decompression. Check that out. They lay you on this bench and slowly and gradually bend you over like you are doing a back bend. I wish I had known about it cause I would have tried it. Also if you can take Naproxium Sodium it will take the inflammation away which causes the pain. Your muscles are inflamed around the nerves in your back. I can't take it for to long but when I do it helps. YOu have to take it like you mean it though. Not just a few here and a few there. Take it as often as it says to take it. OK well enough from Doc Di!
