Come Window Shop With Me...
Today my sister and I took our daughters shopping in her lovely little town, filled with so many unique shops at every turn in old historic buildings. . Little nooks and crannies, coffee shops, vintage wares, cottage shops. Of course my niece just wanted to hit the clothing boutiques. I had an interesting conversation with a fabric store owner, tons of beautiful fabrics, she was showing me around the store...we came across some of the cool fabrics of the fabulous designers I was lucky enough to work with on some upcoming projects. (soon to be posted!) They had a "no photo policy" and I didn't want to be a "bad Tara" ( like my friend Fifi at a shop in CA ), so I behaved and bit my tongue! Anyway, come window shop with us if you weren't able to get out today!
Trying on some cool jeans:
My niece didn't have to twist our arm to enter this clothing boutique. So chic! Chandeliers everwhere!
Our turn for the cottage shops ...
Look what's playing in the old time movie theater... Casablanca!
For you Babette!
and for you too Fifi ...
and for my paper friends, check out this cool shop's storefront!
is it really that time soon?
Ending with lunch at a cute cafe:
and some water ice to finish it off! Hope you had fun shopping with us! ~xo

That looks like a fun...fun day! Lovely photos!

I am on your sight all the time and I am terrified to leave a comment, but here goes...I love your sight and I think you are a wonderful person and very, very, polite. I love the things in your store. I live in Fort Mohave, AZ and I would love to be able to find stuff like that out here for my house, but it's impossible!

Tara, would you mind divulging the name of the town? I'm actually not too far from Bucks County, PA. I'm in Delaware. I knew it had to be close . . . the Rita's Water Ice gave it away! ;o)
Maybe I could wrangle some of my girlfriends into taking a roadtrip!
BTW, I've been lurking on your blog for awhile. And I must say, I love it . . . and your talented decor expertise as well. Makes me wish I could sell everything and start over. LOL
Thanks for such beautiful "eye candy"!

Hi Carla! It's the beautiful historic town of Doylestown PA. It's worth the trip! You can also stop on your way through Peddlars Village in Lahaska (New Hope) PA too!
Posted by: Tara | September 05, 2007 at 03:58 PM
Oh yes! I know Doylestown . . . well, "know of it" anyway. And I've been to Peddlars Village! It was years and years ago, but it may be time for a revisit.
I almost thought you were going to say you were shopping in Litiz, PA. Kinda has that same look/feel as your photos conveyed.
Thanks, Tara!

Hi Tara!! A fellow PA'er here! I'm up in Scranton area, yes home of "The Office" (for you fans out there) When I saw that you were in PA and then the pics, my first thought was New Hope! I was close! :)
Beautiful blog, I love coming here to get inspired! :)

I love the Paper Unicorn, though I haven't been there in years. Doylestown is really cute as is New Hope - a must see if you enjoy antiquing/gift shops & pretty architecture.
