Six Years Went So Fast...
I remember the day she was born, it was a warm and sunny day, the perfect day to have a baby. I wrote an article about it, (read here) I remember my water breaking , being in labor and staying home as long as I could hold out, my mother with a pen and paper writing down each contraction.I still have it in the baby book...it stops at 7:00pm. That's when we left for the hospital. When we got there, I was already 7 centimeters and SO ready for that epidural! After some quick pushing, the next thing I know, I'm holding a little bundle with a pink hat. Her pretty blue eyes looking at me and this wild pitch black hair that looked like a rooster. My girl, my baby...turning 6 years old. I can't believe where the time went...Here she is today in her glory with a fun party with her friends, so much excitement and energy, it was fun to watch them have a blast.
Before we left for the party, a moment in the sun with my baby girl...

MY BABY GIRL IS 21 TODAY !!! SO I AM SHARING YOUR THOUGHTS TODAY, CELEBRATING THE DAY SHE ENTERED THE WORLD AND WONDERING WHEN DID SHE TURN INTO THIS BEAUTIFUL LOVELY WOMAN THAT I NOW CHERISH AS NOT ONLY MY DAUGHTER BUT MY FRIEND ? THE ANSWER OF COURSE STEP BY STEP SHE TODDLED THEN WALKED AND LITTLE BY LITTLE SHE GREW STRONGER UNTIL SHE SPROUTED WINGS AND FLEW TO HER OWN LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD AND CLAIMED HER OWN SPACE AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN PROUDER !

Ah Tara! How sweet are those memories and these you are making with your baby girl now. Six is such a fun and wonderful age! Yes, they do grow way too fast. My Lauren will be 13 on June 7th and I'm just bewildered as to how she came to be a teenager already. Talk about crying! How I wish we could stretch these days out longer and spend more time with these beautiful children of ours. On Mother's Day I was looking for some books and I found a journal I had written in just before Lauren turned six and I'd commented on how fast time was going by and that I dreaded the day I'd suddenly realize that I could no longer sweep my little girl into my arms and tickle her madly. I cried and cried to realize that day had come and gone where I could pick her up, but I will always tickle her madly! So tickle your little sweetie and pick her up as often as possible! Happy Birthday to Natalie!
