Tara Frey - A Biography

Welcome and so glad you are here and want to know more about me! So off we go...

I'm the baby of three children and live in beautiful historic Bucks County Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia and a short drive to the Jersey Shore and New York City. My parents have been married since they were 18 years old and have been together for 49 years. My parents, brother and sister, each in their own homes, live within 5 minutes of me and I talk with them at least 2 times a day.

I am married to my high school sweetheart (who is my own personal "superman" and refer to him that way on my blog.) He is my rock and biggest supporter. He owns a landscape & patio design business. (our patio and gardens are beautiful, thanks to him, my thumb is not green by any means.)

We have two beautiful children who light up our life. The center of our world, the reason I get up in the morning. "Little Man" is 11 and "Our Girl" is 6. They have busier social schedules than me, which tells me things have gotten way off track around here.

We built our dream home in 2001 tucked away on private acreage, which I call "Farmhouse Chic" with a big old mahogany front porch (where I will be rocking my grandbabies).

There is never a dull moment in our home. Noise, laughter and fun fill our home...we are a loud bunch...a place where you never know who will pop in unannounced, just the way I like it. When I hear the back door I know it's family, when I hear someone on the front porch, I know it's friends.

We have been honored by having our home featured in some national and local magazines.

I have a Masters Degree in street smarts and a PhD from the School of Hard Knocks, where I graduated with honors.

I am an editorial contributor to some beautiful and popular magazines and have the pleasure of interviewing the most creative people and finding beautiful homes, boutiques and products to showcase. I am always on the lookout for creative and inspiring blogs too, so if you think your blog fits this category, drop me a note!

Here are some "Junk Drawer" details of my life:

I own lots of shoes, but prefer flip flops!

My passport proves I travel, but not as much as I like...have to work on that.

If I'm not at home, then I'm at the flea market.

I love to collect, create and inspire. I love photography and learning new skills to enhance my photos.

I can not resist Oreos and will eat them until they are gone. I never buy them, but my husband does, on occasion, to watch my insanity.

I don't have luck with coffee makers and usually buy 3 a year.

I love unique and genuine things – especially unique and genuine people.

I am a just a girl who is following her dreams...come along for the ride, we may hit a few bumps here and there so put on your seatbelt...BUT we are sure to arrive at our destination!
